PRESENTATION ON LANDFILL ISSUES (PDF)

County Solid Waste Division will be hosting a series of public meetings to educate the community about landfill issues. The meetings will cover the following topics: the status of the Kekaha Landfill lateral expansion, the status of the project to site a new landfill, requirements for modern landfill design, mitigation measures, host community compensation, and community concerns about landfills. The first meeting took place at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Kekaha <st1:placename w:st="on">Neighborhood <st1:placetype w:st="on">Center on August 20, 2008.
