Clearinghouse for Labor Evaluation and Research (DOL Chief Evaluation Office): A central source of research and information on labor-related topics for practitioners, policymakers, researchers, the media, and the general public

CEO Completed Studies (DOL Chief Evaluation Office): A source for completed studies that have advanced understanding of the U.S. labor market and its role in the global economy

Workforce System Strategies: (DOL Employment and Training Administration): A range of potential strategies that are informed by research evidence or peer expertise that provides users with an improved starting point for making informed decisions as they work toward improving outcomes for job seekers and employers.

Competency Model Clearinghouse (DOL Employment and Training Administration): Provides validated industry competency models and tools to build a custom model and career ladder/lattice for your industry.

What Works In Job Training: A Synthesis of the Evidence (Secretaries of Labor, Commerce, Education and Health and Human Services): Summarizes the evidence on effective adult and youth job training strategies, training-related supports (e.g., job search assistance), and other important strategies, such as employer/industry engagement and cross-agency/system collaboration.

What Works Clearinghouse (Department of Education): A resource for informed education decision making that provides credible and reliable evidence of the effectiveness of interventions.

National Clearinghouse on Families and Youth (Department of Health and Human Services): An information service that educates the family and youth work field about the research and effective practices that can improve the long-term social and emotional wellbeing of families and youth.

Youth.gov (Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs): Promotes the goal of positive, healthy outcomes for youth by identifying strategies, tools, and resources that will help promote effective community-based efforts addressing youth risk and protective factors.

Self-Sufficiency Research Clearinghouse (Department of Health and Human Services): A growing virtual portal of research on low-income and TANF families and an online hub for professional networking among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners who serve these populations.

Crime Solutions (Department of Justice): Informs practitioners and policy makers about what works in criminal justice, juvenile justice, and crime victim services using rigorous research.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention Evidence Review (Department of Health and Human Services): Identifies programs with evidence of effectiveness in reducing teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and associated sexual risk behaviors.

National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP, Department of Health and Human Services): Provides the public with reliable information on mental health and substance use interventions.

Employment Strategies Evidence Review (Department of Health and Human Services): Provides practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and the general public with a transparent and systematic assessment of the research evidence for effectiveness of programs designed to improve the employment-related outcomes of low-income adults.

Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking

Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking - On March 30, the President signed the Evidence-Based Policymaking Commission Act of 2016, a bill law creating the bipartisan Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking. The Commission is charged with examining all aspects of how to increase the availability and use of government data to build evidence and inform program design, while protecting privacy and confidentiality of those data. Design Your Study
