At the Providence VA Medical Center in Rhode Island, Dr. Linda Resnik and colleagues asked Veterans who had an upper-limb amputation to test the revolutionary DEKA arm at home. Read more

Investigators at the Iowa City VA Health Care System in Iowa, are investigating the relationship between sexual assault, combat-related trauma, and infertility in male and female Veterans. Read more





Trauma-sensitive yoga for female Veterans with PTSD and military sexual trauma Trauma-sensitive yoga for female Veterans with PTSD and military sexual trauma
A research team at the Atlanta VA Medical Center aims to find out if yoga can help with symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder in women Veterans. Dr. Ursula Kelly has started a clinical trial to study the benefits of yoga for Veterans who have experienced military sexual trauma and who also have PTSD. Read more

Researchers at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System examined the use of photography to help homeless or marginally housed Veterans express their feelings about their health. Most study participants said they felt positive about their experiences taking photographs. Read more

Veterans with upper-limb loss can benefit from using an advanced prosthesis like the DEKA arm, at least for part of their day, say researchers at the Providence VA Medical Center in Rhode Island. Read more
