Expertise & Resources

Three chemicals (FCCP, chlorfenapyr and pinacyanol) damage the cell’s mitochondria, leading to the damaged mitochondria being recycled.
NCATS Scientists Prioritize Compounds to Advance Research on Mitochondrial Damage

NCATS scientists collaborated with other federal agencies to develop an approach that enables researchers to prioritize environmental chemicals for their ability to disrupt mitochondria, the power generators of the cell.

Online Training Modules

NCATS offers an Assay Guidance Manual Training Workshop online in addition to the in-person workshops held throughout the year. This training workshop contains video recordings of the speakers side by side on the screen with the slides to share best practices and expert advice on assay design, development and implementation with a wider audience. View the video modules.
