Eligibility

Applicants must: 

  • Be Korean citizens or permanent resident of Korea.
  • Have obtained a doctoral degree, equivalent to a Ph.D., within the previous five years as of June 30, 2016.
  • Have received at least one degree in Korea.
  • Meet eligibility requirements for NIH's Intramural Visiting Fellow Program (VFP). (U.S. citizens and permanent residents are not eligible.)

Program Overview

Korean Biomedical Scientist Fellowship Program (KBSFP), supported by the Korean Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) of the Korea Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP), in cooperation with NIH, offers fellowship awards to support biomedical and behavioral research projects with potential commercialization by early-stage Korean postdoctoral researchers at NIH laboratories.

Research projects may support all fields of biomedical and behavioral research at NIH.
