We are a leader in promoting strong and balanced intellectual property worldwide. In the past year, we have continued to progress toward achieving an optimal working level inventory of unexamined patent applications, continued to deliver high-quality trademark registrations within target pendency, established new programs and initiatives, and proactively engaged with the public.

As we begin to implement our Strategic Plan for 2018-2022, we remain focused on our mission to foster innovation, competitiveness and economic growth, domestically and abroad. Through our highly-skilled, diverse workforce, we deliver high-quality and timely examination of patent and trademark applications, guide domestic and international intellectual property policy, and deliver intellectual property information and education worldwide.
