The Public Information Office (PIO) is the Gulf of Mexico Region’s focal point for customer requesting BSEE data available to the public. This data incudes includes publications, CD’s, NTL’s, Technical Papers, maps, and posters

PIO offers a “human touch” for the public to gather information from the BSEE database of Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) activities. By accessing the database, Technical Information Management System (TIMS), the PIO staff can produce a variety of information, including:

  • PDF files (recorded to disks and mailed)
  • Maps (digital, printed on plotters)
  • ASCII files also recorded on optical disks
  • Public geologic and geophysical information including:
  • well logs
  • velocity surveys
  • core analysis

Public development and production information includes:

  • development operations
  • coordination documents,
  • pipeline
  • platform
  • production
  • reserves
