Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer is the second-leading cancer killer in Georgia and the U.S. But it does not have to be. Although this type of cancer is common and deadly, it is also very treatable and even preventable if it is detected early with proper screening.

To help reduce the impact of colorectal cancer in Georgia, the Georgia Department of Public Health works with partners to encourage screening for all persons over age 50 with average risk.
