HIV/AIDS: Clinical Trials

The NICHD conducts and supports a variety of clinical research related to HIV/AIDS, often in collaboration with networks funded by other Institutes, such as the National Institute on Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Select a link below to learn more about these projects.

Clinical trials are health-related studies involving people. Some test treatments or therapies, and some track participants through time to study their activities and health outcomes. By following the links, you can find contact information for each study and information about taking part.

It's important to note that clinical trials follow very specific protocols (rules and methods) and have specific requirements for who can take part and who cannot take part. Just because you or someone in your family has HIV doesn't mean that you or they will qualify for a study.
