Our People & Organization Office of Communications

The Office of Communications (OC) is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive effort to inform the public of the Director’s goals, plans, and activities through various media outlets. We also oversee, guide, plan, and coordinate the writing, publication, and production of all communication products – printed materials, photos/videos, website, and social media postings generated from OPM offices—including briefing materials for the Director and other OPM officials presenting to the President, Congress, and at other meetings and events.

OC ensures that all media and communications successfully reach their intended audience—from the highest ranking elected officials, to Federal employees, to the public. Whether we’re providing the latest on human resources management policy or updates about agency closures due to inclement weather, our job is to make sure that all OPM information received is timely and accurate to enable the Director to best serve the American people.
