Used Cooking Oil Recycling

The County Solid Waste Division is in the process of resurrecting our used cooking oil program, however an exact date has not been set. Please hold onto your cooking oil until further notice, if you have any questions please call the County Recycling Office at 241-4841 for more information. 

Used Cooking Oil can be properly disposed by pouring into a box with absorbent material such as saw dust, kitty litter, old towels, and/or shredded paper. Once the oil is absorbed, the box should be placed in a garbage bag and disposed in the trash. If residents have large amounts of cooking oil they can collaborate with a local restaurant. Most restaurants have grease bins whose contents are recycled.
