In Ocean City, citizens are asked to participate in a citywide cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon. Starting at noon at the Hughes Performing Arts Center will be our MLK Program with Soul Food Dinner. This event will bring the community together to remember Dr. King through words, song and dance.

Jan. 21, 2019 will be the Kinard Family Helping Hands 6th Year of a “Day of Service” honoring Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. We feed the homeless by serving a hot meal, distributing toiletries, gently worn and/or new clothing. We also collect and disseminate information from various shelters, medical providers and other organization in the area where they can go for housing, medical needs, etc. Most importantly, we provide a hug and a smile.
