Division of Biomedical Research Workforce

Mission

Provides ongoing analysis of the biomedical research workforce and evaluation of NIH policies to enable NIH to sustain and grow the biomedical research workforce at all levels to assure the most productive biomedical research endeavor and most effective use of taxpayer dollars.  Provides leadership and expertise on program and policy aspects of research training and research career development.  Oversees the implementation of and adherence to the NIH diversity policy for extramural programs.
