Powers, Duties and Functions of the County Attorney:

The county attorney is the chief legal adviser and legal representative of all agencies, including the county council, and of all officers and employees in matters relating to their official powers and duties. The Office of the County attorney represents the county in all legal proceedings and performs all other services incident to the office as required by law.
