- Biology of Language Study
Approximately 5 out of 100 children entering kindergarten will have delayed language development and meet the criteria for Specific Language Impairment (SLI), making SLI more common than autism, childhood cancer, and Down syndrome. This study examines language and reading problems in children and seeks to explore how genes may play a role in a child’s difficulties acquiring and understanding language. - Biomarkers of Developmental Trajectories and Treatment in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Using a randomized controlled design, this study aims to determine whether cardiorespiratory fitness training in preadolescence improves neurocognitive function and academic performance. - Addressing Health Literacy and Numeracy to Prevent Childhood Obesity
The aim of the study is to assess the efficacy of a low-literacy/numeracy-oriented intervention aimed at teaching pediatric resident physicians to promote healthy family lifestyles and prevent overweight among young children (age 0 to 2) and their families in under-resourced communities.
