CPI for all items unchanged in November as gasoline falls, shelter and food rise

In November, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers was unchanged on a seasonally adjusted basis; rising 2.2 percent over the last 12 months, not seasonally adjusted. The index for all items less food and energy rose 0.2 percent in November (SA); up 2.2 percent over the year (NSA).

Consumer prices up 2.2 percent over 12 months ended November 2018

From November 2017 to November 2018, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) rose 2.2 percent, the same as the increase for the year ending November 2017. Over the year ending November 2018, energy prices rose 3.1 percent, the smallest 12-month increase since the year ending June 2017. read more »
