Current Employment Statistics sample by State

Each month the Current Employment Statistics (CES) program surveys about 149,000 businesses and government agencies nationwide, representing approximately 651,000 individual worksites, in order to provide detailed industry data on employment, hours, and earnings for the nation as a whole, all States, and most major metropolitan areas. The table below presents the number of businesses and worksites that are surveyed each month by State.
