The primary goal of these apps is to provide easy access to basic mapping and property card information for desktops and laptops. They are not designed to replicate or replace our BCGIS mobile mapping apps.
While they are ready for use, these apps are still in a state of development. The quality of the user experience may vary.
Our desktop apps use live GIS data directly off our local GIS and ESRI servers. The map may load slowly over 3G compared to static cached mapping services such as Google maps.
This is our latest desktop web mapping application and is our easiest desktop app to use. While this web mapping app is optimized using JavaScript, it works on any HTML5 ready browser for Windows, Linux and OSX desktops and laptops.
Use the Lite Desktop Web Mapping App to:
- Search TMS numbers, owner names, addresses and streets
- Click on parcels to view ownership and tax assessment information
- View tax map property lines
- View 2018, 2014, 2011, 2009, 2006, 2004, 1999 and 1995 aerial photography
- Print and export basic maps to PDF, JPEG, and PNG
- Click on map to get coordinates
- Data updated nightly

While this web mapping app is optimized using JavaScript, it works on any HTML5 ready browser for Windows, Linux and OSX desktops and laptops.

We have had reports of the classic FlexViewer having issues with the Chrome web browser and there have been reports of printing issues with the FireFox browser.
This is our classic FlexViewer desktop web mapping application. This web mapping app utilizes Adobe Flash, therefore it will not work on any known mobile device or mobile browser. The FlexViewer program is no longer actively maintained, nor supported by ESRI and is considered deprecated. In the interim, we will continue to update the existing GIS data layers but we will not be adding any additional GIS data layers moving forward. Please consider using one of our newer mapping applications.
