Health Education

Patient Education Resource Center (PERC)

Three PERCs are located within the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. PERCs are walk-in centers for health information. Each center is run by a PERC Coordinator. Each PERC Coordinator has a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) degree. With this degree, each PERC Coordinator is a trained expert in the field of health education and health promotion. The PERC team also includes the Veteran Health Education Coordinator (VHEC). The VHEC is responsible for overall health education and health promotion needs within the Greater Los Angeles area.

PERC offers Veterans information on diseases and conditions, tests and procedures, medications, and healthy habits through:
