Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, a Real ID-compliant driver’s license, permit, or identification card will be required to board commercial airplanes or enter certain federal facilities unless you present a Department of Homeland Security-approved document.

BMV Connect Kiosks allow customers to renew their registration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without having to wait in line. By using a self-service kiosk, customers are able to print their new registration sticker immediately.

The BMV partners with Clean Air Car Check emission testing stations in Lake and Porter counties to offer registration renewals and temporary permits. Additional convenience fees apply. These are not fees charged by the BMV or the State of Indiana, but a convenience fee for using the services of the partner location.
