DC WRIISC Training Opportunities
One of the Primary Goals of DC WRIISC is to provide educational training opportunities for clinicians in post-deployment health. We strive to meet this mission by offering fellowships, mentorships, and grand rounds. DC WRIISC provides a variety of professional training opportunities for clinicians and researchers who desire advanced knowledge and skills related to the study and treatment of war-related illnesses and injuries. At this time, we offer two-year clinical fellowships in neuropsychology.
- Neuropsychology: This fellowship is a two year training program that teaches advanced skills in neuropsychological evaluation and consultation, with 50% of the fellow’s time devoted to research, and 50% devoted to clinical work. Our staff also serve as mentors and collaborators for students enrolled in graduate education programs at local area universities. In the past, WRIISC staff has mentored graduate public health, nursing students, psychology students, and medical students.
