The Code of Federal Regulations Title 47 contains the codified U.S. Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to telecommunications and broadcasting in the United States.
Everyone in the radio and television broadcasting industry should have a copy of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules relevant to their operations. For most broadcast stations, this will include:
- Part 1 contains rules relating to RF exposure
- Part 2 contains Frequency Allocations, including radio
- Part 11 (Emergency Alert System)
- Part 17 (Construction, marking and lighting of antenna structures)
- Part 73 (Regulations for radio and TV)
- Part 74 (Broadcast auxiliary, low-power TV and translators).
To get the copy of all of these FCC FCC Regulations for broadcasters, you'll need to purchase two Code of Federal Regulations, Title 47, Telecommunication volumes: a) CFR Title 47 Parts 0-19, and b) CFR Title 47 Parts 70-79.
