DCED helps consumers and businesses identify the availability and speed of broadband connections throughout Pennsylvania

Broadband service is defined under Pennsylvania law as at least 1.544 megabits per second download speed and 128 kilobits per second upload speed. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission requires all regulated carriers to make broadband/Internet service available within 10 business days of a request for service. To learn more about state and federal funding for broadband projects and other information resources, visit our Broadband Funding and Information webpage.

The map below shows the types of broadband service that are available at each location in the state. It is based on information filed with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by fixed and mobile broadband providers. You may select specific type(s) of service and zoom in or out to see service available in smaller or larger geographic areas. Please note: The fact that broadband is shown as being available in a geographic area means only that broadband is available to at least one address in that area, not necessarily to all addresses in that area.
