Purpose and Function of Collaborations
To further enhance its mission of preventing suicides among Veterans, the VISN 2 Center of Excellence for Suicide Prevention collaborates with both VA- and non-VA entities in order to leverage its resources and expertise with those of like-minded organizations. These collaborative partnerships result in broader based research, education, and dissemination activities that ultimately benefit Veterans by enhancing suicide prevention in both VA and and communities at large.
