Small Wind Certification Council

The Small Wind Certification Council reviews small wind turbines for performance and safety in accordance with the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) Standard, and reports AWEA Rated Annual Energy, the calculated total energy that would be produced during a one-year period under certain conditions. This can help consumers compare products and gain greater confidence that small turbines have been tested for safety, function, performance and durability, and meet standards.
