Communication, Training and Outreach

The VA Privacy Service Communications, Training and Outreach program develops and executes strategies to raise privacy awareness and strengthen VA’s standing as a trusted government agency.

The vision of VA Privacy Service Communications, Training and Outreach is to increase awareness about the responsibility to “preserve and protect the privacy of personal information” through the dissemination of information in an accurate manner to all potential stakeholders, especially those in VA that touch personally identifiable information (PII) or affect data management.

We build national awareness and outreach campaigns geared towards Veterans and VA employees, increasing and developing more effective communications tools for targeted audiences, and revamping professionalization and training resources.
