Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America. Each summer since 2010, Blue Star Museums have offered free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

First Lady of the United States Melania Trump and Second Lady of the United States Karen Pence provided a letter in support of Blue Star Museums in 2018. They write, “As military families create meaningful memories enjoying the many benefits that museums offer, may they know of our country’s everlasting gratitude for their extraordinary commitment and sacrifice.” Read the full letter here.
