SSS Form 1: Registration Form

If you have a social security number and you are not able to register ONLINE and received an error message, or if you do not have a social security number, please complete the fillable registration form here. Then, print out, sign and date, and mail to the addressed provided on the form.

SSS Form 2: Change of Information Form

If you're a man, born after 1959, and are currently registered with Selective Service and are living INSIDE the United States or its territories, or if you have an APO/FPO address, you may change your information by filling out the form here and mailing to the address on the form.

Status Information Letter Request

A Status Information Letter is is a letter from the Selective Service System which states the facts surrounding your registration with Selective Service. It states whether or not you are registered with the Selective Service System and whether or not you were required to register with Selective Service or if you are exempt from the registration requirement.

Men Born Before 1960: Records Request

Selective Service can no longer access any of these records.

Note:  If records are found, the requester will receive an invoice for payment from NARA.

With very few exceptions, all males between ages 18 and 25 must register with the Selective Service System (SSS) within 30 days of arriving in the United States. This includes U.S. born and naturalized citizens, parolees, undocumented immigrants, legal permanent residents, asylum seekers, refugees, and all males with visas of any kind which expired more than 30 days ago. The few individuals who are exempt from this requirement are those on current non-immigrant visas. A complete list of acceptable documentation for exemption may be found here.
