The Department of Veterans Affairs Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Plan for 2017-2020
is now available.
This plan aligns with the Department of Veterans Affairs FY 2018-2024 Strategic Plan
and the Government-Wide Inclusive Diversity Strategic Plan 2016.
In 2008, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion created VA's first Diversity and
Inclusion Strategic Plan (DISP). The intent was to develop a leading-edge, living
road map for incorporating diversity and inclusion in VA based on the best practices
in the public and private sectors. One year later, ODI assembled the first VA Diversity and Inclusion Annual Report to assess the Department's progress
in achieving the goals and objectives set forth in the Strategic Plan.
The DISP quarterly reporting template is available for VA organizations
to provide their accomplishments.
