The 11th annual Kids, Cops and Christmas Campaign brought in a record number of toys and gifts ensuring that a record number of Rhode Island familes will benefit from this year's collection. The annual program is a joint effort by the Rhode Island State Police, Rhode Island Police Chiefs' Association, U.S. Attorney's Office and the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General to help bring holiday smiles to the faces of children served by several community organizations.

10th Annual Kids, Cops and Classrooms Distribution

The US Attorney's Office is proud to have participated in and contributed to the 10th annual Kids, Cops and Classrooms campaign organized by the RI State Police. Thousands of dollars' worth of donated backpacks and school supplies are now being distributed to students in need.

Recognized for Protecting Millions of Taxpayer Dollars

United States Attorney Stephen G. Dambruch and Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin joined Scott E. Antolik, Special Agent in Charge of the Boston Field Office of the Social Security Administration, Office of the Inspector General/Office of Investigations, recognizing members of the Social Security Administration Cooperative Disability Investigations unit for interrupting approximately $10 million dollars worth of fraudulent claims for Social Security disability benefit and for bringing charges against defendants who fraudulently collected benefits totaling nearly $1 million dollars.

350 juniors at Crantson High School East attended the final performance of the season of 4 Legs to Stand on. The real-life drama about a family with one member dealing with addiction while another battles a serious illness was the final high school performance of the school year, presented by the United States Attorney's office and COAAST.

A moving tribute to the deceased members of the Rhode Island State Police at today’s 27th Annual Rhode Island State Police Memorial Service. The names of each member of the Rhode Island State Police lost in the line of duty or who passed away in the past 12 months was read aloud as members of law enforcement stood at attention and saluted. A rifle salute, a moving rendition of Taps, and the playing of bagpipes followed.
