Kathy Fields

Kathy FieldsMs. Kathy Fields began her FEMA career with Region VII in 1988 working in the Disaster Assistance Program (DAP) Division. Over the past 28 years she has held numerous leadership roles including establishing the National Teleregistration Center and building the foundation for the National Processing Service Centers (NPSC). She also served as Operations Chief of the NPSC and Director of the National Advisory Council.  In addition, Ms. Fields served as the Acting Chief and Deputy Chief of the Office of the Chief Component Human Capital Officer, leading deliberate and effective results in the realm of human capital management and hiring functions.

Ms. Fields has also held leadership roles on numerous disasters including Hurricanes Hugo, Andrew, Charlie, Katrina, and Superstorm Sandy; the California Loma Prieta Earthquake; the Great Midwest Flood; the Oklahoma City Bombing; and the 9/11 New York Terrorist Attack.
Ms. Fields has been serving as the Deputy Regional Administrator at FEMA Region VII since August, 2015.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Central Missouri State University.
