The Center has an external Advisory Board comprised of representatives knowledgeable about mental health research, clinical, and educational areas, both within and outside of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The Advisory Board draws representation from within the local VA Medical Centers, Network leadership, from the Center’s affiliated academic institutions, and from the national research community that represents areas of interest to the Center.
The Advisory Board provides representation from the academic institutions and those professions with whom the VISN 2 Center for Integrated Healthcare collaborates to ensure the affiliates and professional groups have an active voice in setting the direction for the Center. The Advisory Board also provides representation from the VHA scientific community as well as a representative for our veteran community. The Advisory Board meets every 18-24 months to assess and advise the Center leadership on matters of policy development and to review the effectiveness of the Center in meeting its objectives. As well, the Board assesses and advises leadership on general programmatic directions within each component of the Center. The Membership Tab lists the individuals who currently serve on the VISN 2 Center for Integrated Healthcare’s Advisory Board.
