About SC MIRECC Research Training
Overview
The SC MIRECC Research Training Core includes two postgraduate fellowship programs (Little Rock, Arkansas and Houston, Texas), the Training Residents in Psychiatric Scholarship (TRIPS) Program, and the Grant Writing Scholars Program.
Advanced Fellowship Programss
SC MIRECC Advanced Fellowship Programs in Mental Illness Research and Treatment are two-year postdoctoral training programs to develop research skills. Fellowships are offered at two SC MIRECC anchor sites in Little Rock, Arkansas and Houston, Texas.
Resident Training
The Training Residents in Psychiatry Scholarship (TRIPS) Program is designed to increase the number of psychiatry residents (PGY-II) entering post-residency research training fellowships. Learn more about TRIPS.
Grant Writing Training
Approximately every 3 years, SC MIRECC sponsors a Grant Writing Scholars program that provides 8-12 investigators with didactic training and individualized mentoring in developing applications for funding to VA Merit Review, VA HSR&D, the National Institutes of Health, or other agencies. Participants write and submit a draft proposal for national-level review. Learn more about Grant Writing Scholars.
