VISN 4 MIRECC Research
The VISN 4 MIRECC engages in and supports research to advance the understanding and treatment of mental illness through measurement-based care. Importantly, the center provides infrastructure support, including staff and research space for investigators, in-kind support through MIRECC research assistant effort, and expertise to new MIRECC-associated investigators who wish to conduct their first research project in a VA facility. The VISN 4 MIRECC also has a VISN-funded pilot project fund program. MIRECC investigators also collaborate with the Behavioral Health Laboratory (BHL) to recruit and conduct studies with the referred primary care veterans assessed by the BHL. Last, the MIRECC also provides direct investment of funds and research assistant effort in support of promising projects not otherwise supported by the MIRECC.
The theme of the MIRECC, measurement based mental health care, is reflected in a range of key studies. A list of Research Investigators can be found on these pages among the MIRECC Faculty (Philadelphia Investigators or Pittsburgh Investigators).
A list of selected publications by MIRECC faculty can be found here: MIRECC-Related Publications.
