The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs’ Regulatory Investigations Section investigates complaints and proactively reviews business license applications to ensure businesses are operating in compliance with applicable licensing, zoning and corporation regulations and statutes. This is consistent with DCRA’s mission statement “to protect the health, safety, economic interest and quality of life of residents, businesses and visitors in the District of Columbia by ensuring code compliance and regulating businesses.”
