Stephen C. Redd, is the Deputy Director for Public Health Service and Implementation Science and Director for the Center for Preparedness and Response (CPR). He served as CDC’s acting principal deputy director from January to March 2018.
Prior to these leadership posts, Dr. Redd was Director of CDC’s Influenza Coordination Unit. During the H1N1 pandemic, he served as Incident Commander for the nearly year-long response.
