Administrative Relief to Medicaid Providers

In response to the earthquake on November 30, 2018, the Department of Health and Social Services is granting service delivery flexibility and administrative relief to providers in the earthquake affected areas in Southcentral Alaska

By federal requirement, an advisory group providing input and guidance to the state and public regarding Medicaid 1915(i) option and 1915(k) Community First Choice option for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) benefits has been established.

Vitamin D is important for strong bones and may contribute to overall good health. Alaskans should select foods that are high in vitamin D, such as Alaska salmon, and should talk with their health care provider about vitamin D and the risks and benefits of supplementation.
