The National Capitol Region Building Code Academy (NCRBCA) was established and approved as an International Code Council (ICC) Preferred Provider in December 2015. 

Training opportunities will be available locally for individuals to sharpen their current skills, expand their technical knowledge, broaden their horizons and become leaders in the building and specialty codes throughout our region and nation. Of our many leadership goals, two that are emphasized here are: (one) develop partnerships and affiliations with multiple entities and surrounding jurisdictions who share the same vision and understand the importance of building safety awareness; and (two) become the best of the best in the construction environment and building code industry exceeding the highest standards which are already established.

Mission

Provide local high quality structured training and educational opportunities for building code enforcement officials, which focus on educating and empowering each individual by supporting, enhancing and encouraging interests in building safety and building code enforcement.

Vision

Expanding individuals’ knowledge base across multiple disciplines related to the building code, so they may become stronger building code enforcement officials of safe and sustainable buildings and improve building safety awareness to the citizens, community and businesses within the District of Columbia and the National Capitol Region.
