Welcome to the Wyoming State FSA Website. The Farm Service Agency serves farmers, ranchers and agricultural partners through the delivery of effective, efficient agricultural programs. The agency offers farmers a strong safety net through the administration of farm commodity and disaster programs. FSA continues to conserve natural resources and also provides credit to agricultural producers who are unable to receive private, commercial credit, including special emphasis on beginning, underserved and women farmers and ranchers.

As State Executive Director, I am excited about planning, organizing, and administering FSA programs in ways that make a real difference in the lives of our ranchers and farmers. My goal is to provide the very best customer service possible and to truly connect with agricultural producers statewide.

The hard working men and women of our 17 FSA county offices are at the forefront of our efforts and remains the primary contact for program participation. We encourage you to speak with the staff at your local office on how we can be of service. Lead Your FSA: 2018 FSA County Committee Election – Vote Today!

Elections are taking place now for USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committees. Eligible voters started receiving ballots the week of Nov. 5, 2018.

Producers must participate or cooperate in an FSA program to be eligible to vote in the county committee election. Farmers and ranchers who supervise and conduct the farming operations of an entire farm, but are not of legal voting age, may also be eligible to vote.

County committees are unique to FSA and serve as a direct link between agricultural communities across the country and USDA. Stop by your local FSA office to learn about the candidates running in your area or look for information in your local FSA GovDelivery monthly electronic bulletin. Not receiving our emails? Make your vote count! All ballots must be returned to your local FSA office, or postmarked no later than, Dec. 3, 2018.

Farm Service Agency County Committee Elections Launch June 15                                                                            

The nomination period for USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) County Committees runs June 15 through Aug. 1, 2018, and elections will take place starting in November.

FSA County Committee Elections to Begin; Producers to Receive Ballots Week of Nov. 6

CASPER, WY- Oct. 24, 2017 – Wyoming Farm Service Agency (FSA) Acting State Executive Director Jodene Johnson today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will begin mailing ballots to eligible farmers and ranchers for the 2017 FSA County Committee elections on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017. Producers must return ballots to their local FSA offices by Dec. 4, 2017, to ensure that their vote is counted.

USDA Designates Butte County in South Dakota as a Primary Natural Disaster Area with Assistance to Producers in Surrounding States

Casper, Aug. 30, 2017 — In response to a request from Jamie White, Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) acting State Executive Director in South Dakota, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has designated Butte County in South Dakota as primary natural disaster areas due to a recent drought. Farmers and ranchers in Harding, Lawrence, Meade and Perkins counties in South Dakota also qualify for natural disaster assistance because their counties are contiguous. Farmers and ranchers in Carter County in Montana and Crook County in Wyoming also qualify for natural disaster assistance because their counties are contiguous.

10 Wyoming and 3 Montana Counties and the Wind River Reservation are Eligible for Emergency Loans Following Presidential Disaster Declaration M4327

Casper, WY-August 10, 2017- A Presidential Disaster Declaration has made 10 Wyoming and 3 Montana Counties eligible for disaster assistance. Park and Fremont counties and the Wind River Reservation within Fremont County were declared as primary natural disaster areas and the surrounding 11 counties as contiguous disaster areas due to severe storms and flooding that occurred on June 22-27, 2017. Under this designation, eligible producers with operations in any primary or contiguous county can apply for Farm Service Agency (FSA) emergency loans.

USDA Farm Service Agency County Committee Nomination Period Begins June 15

WASHINGTON, May 25, 2017 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced today that the nomination period for local Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committees begins on Wednesday, June 15, 2017.

Teton, Fremont, Lincoln, Park and Sublette Counties are Eligible for Emergency Loans Following Presidential Major Disaster Declaration M4306

CASPER, WYOMING, Mar. 30, 2017 - A Presidential Major Disaster Declaration has made several Wyoming Counties eligible for disaster assistance. Teton County has been declared as primary and Fremont, Lincoln, Park and Sublette were declared as contiguous disaster counties due to Severe Winter Storm and Straight- Line Winds that occurred February 6-7, 2017. Under this designation, producers with operations in any primary or contiguous county are eligible to apply for low interest emergency loans.
