Coloradans Can Comment on Village at Wolf Creek Environmental Impact Statement

Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet is encouraging Coloradans to comment on the draft environmental impact statement (EIS) on the Village at Wolf Creek land exchange in Mineral County.  The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) released the EIS today.  Members of the public have 45 days to submit their comments. 

“I have heard from stakeholders on both sides of this issue—both those excited about the economic potential of the project and those concerned about the environmental impacts. It's my hope that this EIS starts a frank discussion among stakeholders as to a practical path forward that meets the needs and values of the diverse communities involved.

“I encourage anyone interested in the outcome of the project to voice their opinions and I  look forward to hearing their comments.”
