Soto Statement on Puerto Rico Plebiscite Results

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09) released the following after Puerto Rican's voted for statehood in the November 4 plebiscite: 

"The moment to finally admit the 51st state of our Union is upon us. For the third time in history, Americans in Puerto Rico have reached a clear consensus: their destiny lies with statehood. Now we must grant both Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia full voting representation and equal treatment as states. The time to act is now.”
