COVID-19 cases and deaths have been reported in all 50 states across the U.S. and in over 200 countries across the globe. Because travel increases your chances of getting infected and spreading COVID-19, discerning potential travel plans with care is an important way to protect yourself and others from getting sick. When you must travel away from your local community, keep informed about the current COVID-19 status of a potential destination and keep your family safe by avoiding travel to places of higher risk.
When you do travel, practice the 3 W’s every time you are away from home and in close proximity to other groups of people. Wear a face covering. Wash your hands with soap and water. Watch your physical distance, staying at least 6 feet from others.

State Cases 7-Day Rolling Avg. Population Est. Case Rate Per 100k - Methodology

For each state or country, the number of new cases of COVID-19 reported daily is averaged across the past 7 days. The average daily cases are then divided by the population and multiplied by 100,000 to find the average daily case rate per 100,000.
Locations that have 15 cases per 100,000 or greater are designated as “higher risk”. Any location that has an average daily case rate greater than or equal to 15 per 100,000 are designated as purple in the map. In the “Advanced View”, a darker purple will indicate a higher average daily case rate while a darker blue will indicate a lower average daily case rate.
