The toolkit is a resource for local officials and community leaders. It aims to provide resources to help manage the complex issues of long-term, post-disaster recovery. The toolkit compiles guidance, case studies, tools, and training. The information is grouped in four sections as follows:

Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants (ECWG)
ECWG helps rural communities recover from disasters that threaten safe drinking water. The following grants are available:

• Water transmission line grants up to $150,000 – To construct waterline extensions, repair breaks or leaks, and work to replenish the water supply.
• Water source grants up to $500,000 – To construct a water source, intake, or treatment resource.

Multi-Agency Reunification Services Plan Template (PDF, 2 MB)

Post Disaster Reunification of Children - A Nationwide Approach
This approach is our nation’s first attempt to create a baseline for reunifying children separated by a disaster. It aims to assist local governments as well as entities that care for children. It can help you enhance existing emergency preparedness plans or conduct new all-hazards planning. (FEMA)

U.S. Postal Service Alerts
Find out if there are any postal service problems in your area after a weather-related or other event:

Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program
