State Vendor Payments
Database
Lists all State of Vermont payments to vendors by Fiscal Year. The data may be sorted by expense account, business unit and fund. The state spends money for many reasons, including state employee salaries and benefits, agency and department operating costs, contracts for commodities and services, grants to providers and community partners, direct program beneficiaries, capital improvements, transportation infrastructure, education, teachers’ retirement, environmental protection and debt service, to name just a few. The payments shown here are exclusive of direct payments to state employees for salaries, benefits, and, prior to May 2013, employee reimbursable expenses. The payments are also exclusive of any payments deemed confidential by state and/or federal statutes and rules, or the confidential nature of the recipients of certain payments, like direct program benefit payments. (Approximately 1% of all non-employee payments are excluded under these guidelines.)
