Board of Medical Practice
The Vermont Board of Medical Practice licenses allopathic physicians, physician assistants and podiatrists, and certifies anesthesiologist assistants and radiologist assistants.
Nurses, osteopaths and other health professionals are regulated by the Secretary of States's Office of Professional Regulation.
The Board also investigates complaints and charges of unprofessional conduct against any health care professional it licenses or certifies, and determines if charges are substantiated.
2020 Physician License Renewal Information
Physician licenses will expire on November 30, 2020. With all the uncertainty over what challenges the fall will bring for the medical community, the Board is opening up renewals early this year. Physicians will be able to access and submit renewal applications starting August 12.
IMLCC Vermont Physician License Renewal 2020
All Vermont physicians who obtained a Vermont physician license through the IMLCC must renew their Vermont physician license no later than November 30, 2020. To guarantee that your physician license is reviewed, you must do the following no later than November 13, 2020:
- Renew your Vermont license through the IMLCC system - the Vermont renewal fee is $525 paid through the IMLCC system.
- Complete the Vermont forms - the Adobe pdf forms must be signed with a digial signature and emailed to: tracy.hayes@vermont.gov
