DHS and its components provide access to statistical reports and machine readable data sets. These datasets are available in the DHS section of Data.gov and follow the guiding principles set in the DHS Digital Government strategy.

My DHS Idea
One of the main goals of DHS Open Data is to facilitate the release of DHS high-value datasets whenever possible. High-value datasets include data that: were previously not provided but increase accountability and responsiveness, increase public knowledge, further the core mission of DHS, create economic opportunity or respond to identified needs or demands. DHS will continue to make more datasets available as we follow our process for identifying and approving the release of high-value datasets. Immigration Data and Statistics
Key datasets and resources published by the Office of Immigration Statistics. The Office of Immigration Statistics has responsibility to carry out two statutory requirements: 1) to collect and disseminate to Congress and the public data and information useful in evaluating the social, economic, environmental, and demographic impact of immigration laws; and 2) to establish standards of reliability and validity for immigration statistics collected by the Department’s operational Components.

Maritime Information Exchange
The purpose of the Coast Guard Maritime Information Exchange (CGMIX) website is to make Coast Guard maritime information available on the public internet in the form of searchable databases. Much of the information on the CGMIX website comes from the Coast Guard’s Marine Information for Safety and Law Enforcement (MISLE) information system.
