The Vermont Department of Health is closely monitoring the rapid developments in the outbreak of respiratory illness called COVID-19 that is caused by a novel (new) coronavirus.

In the coming months, the Agency of Education will be prioritizing the improvement of reading and math outcomes for students.

The Agency of Education (AOE) will not require supervisory unions and school districts (SU/SDs) to separately allocate general education costs from special education costs within tuition in cases where a student’s individualized education program (IEP) team has chosen an out-of-district placement at an approved independent school.
