The Vermont Department of Health has the authority under 8 V.S.A., Chapter 129, Section 4724 to approve laboratories that perform Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) related tests in connection with application for insurance coverage in Vermont.  For more information, see HIV Testing for Insurance Approval below. 

The Vermont Department of Health has the authority under 21 V.S.A., Chapter 5, Subchapter 11, Sections 514, 515,516,518 and 520 to approve laboratories that perform workplace drug testing. For more information, see Drug Testing Laboratory Approval below.
