Grants Management

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) was created in 1877 to regulate medical practitioners and to promote sanitation. Today, the IDPH is responsible for protecting the state's 12.4 million residents, as well as countless visitors, through the prevention and control of disease and injury. The Department's nearly 200 programs touch virtually every age, aspect and cycle of life. In January 2013, IDPH began transitioning to an online platform for electronically managing its grant programs. In FY14, many of IDPH’s grant funding opportunities will now be managed through this new online platform, called EGrAMS.

EGrAMS is an Electronic Grants Administration & Management System to aid users in the grants process. The system is password protected and only authorized users can access the system. This tool allows both grantors and grantees to interact in a web based setting, enabling greater awareness, accountability, and analysis throughout the life cycle of a grant. Applications will be created, submitted, scored, approved/denied, monitored, evaluated and closed out through this system.  Moving forward, all grants will be released through EGrAMS. Please stay tuned to IDPH’s “Funding Opportunities” page for announcements of open grant opportunities.

To access EGrAMS, you must have a valid User ID. To apply to become an authorized user, you first need to create a user profile in EGrAMS (see RESOURCES in the right-hand column).  Once created, your request will be reviewed, and if accepted, you will be notified by email.  Please visit EGrAMS Portal (see RESOURCES in the right-hand column) to access electronic grants, register, and download training materials.
