Division of Small Business

Minority, Women & Veteran-owned Businesses

The thousands of minority-owned, women-owned and veteran-owned small businesses and those owned by disabled individuals are a key part of Delaware’s economy.

The Division of Small Business values these important communities and serves to connect them with organizations that can assist with their specific challenges in starting and expanding a business.

The Division launched advisory committees for minority business owners, women business owners and military veteran business owners to find out how we can best assist them.

Such organizations include the State of Delaware Office of Supplier Diversity, the Women’s Business Resource Center at First State Community Loan Fund and $tand By Me Negocios, a bi-lingual program for Latino small business owners.

Visit the Business Resource Portal on the Division of Small Business website to locate the full range of organizations offering assistance to minority-owned, woman-owned and veteran-owned businesses and businesses owned by disAbled individuals including help with business planning, accessing capital, becoming a state of Delaware vendor and applying for MWVBE certification.

Or contact one of the Division’s Regional Business Managers for one-on-one assistance.
